storage & bookcases
a large family of storage units enhanced by chromatic variations and plays of bright and matt finishes, while maintaining the formal rigour of the design. they are customised by an important detail: the greater depth of the tops and sides, as compared to the drawers, that contribute a sense of depth to the front. chest of drawers that develop vertically or horizontally are placed beside elements that are less deep, with fronts that alternate empty portions and drawers.
homogeneous corian ® white, thin surfaces and strong geometrical features make the bookcases shelf exclusive items, important presences that are also almost immaterial. available in four sizes, of which one is designed for wall mounting. the other three can be placed even at the centre of the room as partition or screen.

“aesthetically, they recall a piet mondrian painting and the form of a sculpture by donald judd,” this is how vincent van duysen describes the sources that inspired him to create this minimal, geometric and linear product. almost modular and highly customisable, it has become an iconic object of modern furnishings produced in italy. surface expresses a poetic design that moves between reducing forms, essential materials and natural colour choices.
with its wooden frame protruding from the wall-mounted metal structure, alix furnishes the wall by breaking its monotony. the careful choice of materials is at the core of this project, consisting of simple and linear shapes: the concept is strengthened by the use of aluminium, a cold and tenacious material that makes the structure optically light, combined with the warmth of the wood, protagonist of alix’s design.
arpa displays a “musical design” that lends itself to infinite interpretations, combining visual lightness and functionality of use. the bookcase, whose name in italian means 'harp', is characterized by the sequence of metal uprights arranged on the perimeter, which acts as a structure and support for the wooden shelves which run uninterrupted along the entire length and width of the piece. the rounded ends of the shelves soften the profile of the bookcase, making it ideal for any space.
the blabla collection consists of two different functional units, a bookcase panel and a mirror panel, which when paired together create a system of elements that can be individually positioned or combined in an elegant composition. the blabla collection consists of a thick canaletto walnut panel, contrasting with slender metal shelves; the bookcase is wall-hung or floor-standing and comes with shelves of various lengths.
cabinet de curiosité consists of six different modules, which can be mixed and matched freely to achieve the desired configuration. every module consists of a façade and a variable number of windows and niches intended to house, organise and highlight books, ornaments and all sorts of objects.
the dogma bookshelves are designed around a basic element, namely the tear-drop-shaped uprights which change the visual perception. the design thus becomes rounded and soft or sharper and narrower depending on the angle from which it is viewed. the dogma collection has three different modules which can be combined at will. the dogma bookshelves are available with canaletto walnut or coal oak shelves combined with metal uprights, or in monocolor version.
the kaos bookshelves, designed by mauro lipparini, stem from the minimalist design marked by pure simplicity. devoid of decorative elements, kaos frames empty spaces to be filled with books and objects to create a special, intimate place in which to express your personality. the aluminium shelves are supported by metal uprights featuring small holes, thus allowing you to position the shelves at different heights.
like in a dance, the optic’s two supporting frames perfectly slide to create a light system of staggered shelves: the shelves are wider in the middle to accommodate large objects, while the side shelves are lighter and cantilevered. the shifted frames give the bookcase a striking 3D effect and permit different configurations in the space: side by side on the wall, overlapping or in the centre of the room joined with an “L” arrangement as a partition within the room.
the ability to fix roll bookcase to the ceiling, as well as to the wall, makes it a furnishing element that can also be installed in the centre of a room to divide it into two spaces. mounting it to the wall takes place by means of supports composed of metal tubes with lead finish; both the shelves and the details that come out of the metal tubes are available in the same finish as the supports or in different finishes, for a play of contrasts of utmost elegance.
